The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it is actually alarmed with regard to the significant variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point designed for intervention ordeals a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard for the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency sassa status said.
